Q: How do I book my session?
A: Booking is simple! Email or call me and we’ll chat briefly. During our conversation we’ll choose a date, a location and choose a session type to fit your needs. After that I will email over a contract to sign and an invoice for the deposit.

Q: How far in advance should I book my session?
A: The earlier the better! It allows us both time to prep for your session and a chance for me to get to know you! Also, if you are looking for a specific date it’s best to book early that way you can most likely secure that day. 

Q: Do you travel?
A: Currently, I serve all of Fairfield County, Connecticut. So I am happy to travel to your favorite location.

Q: When is payment due?
A: You will make a non- refundable deposit as soon a possible after we have our initial consult. Deposits are key – paying your deposit will secure your session date and time. Final payment is due the day before your session. If you choose to purchase additional images or products payment is due after your selections are made but before the items are delivered. 

Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Cash, Check, and PayPal. Connecticut state sales tax applies.

Q: What should my family and I wear to our session?
A: Read my blog post by clicking here on what to wear. Also a good resource is Pinterest and Google. Find a photo that stands out to you for inspiration

Q: What happens if it rains or have inclement weather on the day of our outdoor session?
A: In the event of rain or inclement weather during a scheduled outdoor session we will reschedule for a different time that day or choose another date.

Q: What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
A: Life happens and sometime you just have to reschedule! No biggie. Notify me asap via phone or email and we’ll choose another day and time. 

Q: How many pictures do you take?  
A: During out time together I take many pictures. After our session I review each one and removing outtakes, out of focus, any that just don’t meet the standard. Leaving only the best best remaining. I usually aim for 20 – 65 depending on the package you have selected.

Q: Do you do retouching?
A: Yes, I retouch all images by hand using Lightroom and Photoshop. However, it is my goal to create stunning images during our time together that way retouching is limited leaving you with natural and authentic images. 

Q: How soon after our session will I be able to see my pictures?
A: Clients can expect to receive a digital photo gallery to review and select photos within 5 business days.

Q. If I buy digital files, do I get copyright?
A: Unfortunately, no. U.S. copyright law states that I am the Courtney Lewis Photography is the owner of the images created during your session.  However, when you buy digital files from me, I provide a print release, which allows you to make unlimited numbers of prints, post on social media and share them.
